'PEGADA DE URSO' | Single

‘Pegada de Urso’A blend of Funk-Jazz with Seventies vibe.

“Rock is melting! Eruption has arrived” With this rap verse that introduces Bagunço’s new song, João Ribeiro announces what’s to come! In 'Pegada de Urso',

Bagunço showcases its unique blend of Funk-Jazz with seventies vibe, coupled with a rap introduction and a Drum’n’Bass synth solo. The final product is ravishing. The groove wakes up the hibernating bear within and kicks open the doors of perception. A subtle feel of hungry beasts fires up the whole track.

'CATAGNOMO' | EP

France/ Brazil | Tropicalist Jazz

‘Catagnomo’A contemporary jazz piece with a distinct Bagunço flavor.

‘Catagnomo’ is a contemporary jazz piece with a distinct Bagunço flavor. It’s a wandering theme, passing through psychedelic landscapes, funk parties and even romantic rendezvous under sweet moonlight. The resulting experience is the discovery of a unique territory, which the name ‘Catagnomo’ represents. ‘Catagnomo’ is a portuguese play on words that mixes the verb “catar” which means “to pick up” and “gnomo” that means “gnome”. As far as neologism goes, this one sounds more “Neo” than “Logos”!

The EP ‘Catagnomo’ bringing the Original version + three Remixes by the producers Infrared (France) ClãBR (Brazil) and Mista Monk (Australia). that explore various possibilities for the song.

Argentine video-maker Joana Vento made a dreamlike Music Video, joining dance and reflection on femininity in the mysterious waves of the song.

France

I always been a fan of jazz, jazz funk and hip hop and a huge fan of horns section, which inspired me for this remix.

I wanted an old school feel and soulful melodies to lift up the original

arrangement.

Catagnomo - REMIX

CLÃBR

Brazil

The original music is very varied, with changes in rhythms, something very characteristic of the versatility and musical power of Bagunço.The song has a bpm similar to that of many Drum n Bass that I like, so I decided that this would be the main part of the music. I cut a part of the original track in order to give more dynamics, and transforming Jazz into Disco Music and DnB.

MISTA MONK

Australia

Mista Monk does a funky chop of elements of the original track ala Madlib style and adds a fresh dose of rap flavours musing on the questions, the questions.

Keeping the feel of the original intact for the most part this is an edit slash remix with Monk's signature rap style for added bonus.

'SIM OU SIM' | Single & Music Video

'Sim Ou Sim' | Picture John Coltrane jamming in Rio de Janeiro!

Bagunço's new release 'Sim ou Sim', 'Yes or Yes', as the name suggests, is a hymn to assertiveness. It sounds crazy, and we love it. Born out of influences that go from the jazz master John Coltrane to the Samba and Pagode of Grupo Molejo, the song is an instrumental samba theme coupled with unexpected chord changes. The combination goes straight to the point to make people dance!

The Music Video 'Sim ou Sim' shows the adventures of Bagunço touring.

'AS TRÊS' | EP & Music Video

France/ Brazil | Tropicalist Festive Jazz

'As Três' EP | Blessed by the richness of Brazilian rhythms

Based in Rio de Janeiro, the franco-brazilian band explores three distinct traditional Brazilian rhythms: Maracatu, Galope and Frevo. The resulting mixture is then wrapped up in a Tropicalist Festive Jazz, the mash-up of brazilian groove with psychedelic sounds and jazzy vibe.

What could be more 'Bagunço?'

The EP 'As Três' is a powerful pack including 'As Três' OriginalMix + Four Remixes, exploring Drum&Bass, CaboclinhoDub, SkaDub e Afro House. Three Music Producers collaborated with the band in creating four new joints: Infrared (France), The Phat Ones (South Africa) and Zivito (Brasil).

The Music Video 'As Três' has special appearance of Circus crew '
Circo no Ato'.

As a huge Drum & Bass music fan, UK is my source of inspiration and those beautiful horn section from Bagunço, i just needed an extra push with a strong drum and bass to make it even
 more massive.

'As Três' is one of the best Remixes i have done so far.

Jungle is massive!

As Três - CaboclinhoDub REMIX

ZIVITO

Brazil

My reinterpretation of 'As Três' was developed under the base of the Caboclinho, a popular revelry in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, translated in the context of digital music.

The track had the mixes of percussions and electronic drums with the power of metals, mixing Frevo and Cavalo Marinho rhythms with elements of dance music and synthesizers.

As Três - SkaDub REMIX

A beautiful horns section and melodies was the inspiration for this Remix.

With those two distinctive horns section, I was able to play around, going from Ska to a Reggae Dub part, which gives movements to this SkaDub version for
'
As Três'.

THE PHAT ONES

South Africa

We have had our far share of remixes over the years but this one was a real beautiful challenge.

We loved Bagunço’s horn section and we knew that we wanted to focus on that part of the song, to give African spirit in the Brazilian Jazz and make it a worldbeat for the dance floors.

With a soft yet aggressive guitar to set in the background as a solid foundation. Then we took it back to our South African roots by adding a spiritual, raw, jungle, soulful incident vocals.
